Meet The Staff

As Garlock Orthodontics grows, Dr. Garlock feels it’s important that each person who joins the team share the same vision and goals he is committed to:

Providing the highest quality of patient care and customer service possible, while having fun and building relationships along the way. You’ll quickly realize that Garlock Orthodontics isn’t like other offices. Here you are greeted by name and Dr. Garlock and his staff take time to talk with each patient and their parents to explain what they’re doing, why they’re doing it, and where they are heading. Here we value each interaction and each patient; we believe our focus on individualized care, along with a tranquil setting, provides a less intimidating experience for patients who may be apprehensive about starting orthodontics treatment. We frequently hear from patients that they chose Garlock Orthodontics because of the level of service and care we provide in a more relaxing and individualized environment. So come on in and make yourself at home!

Dr. Garlock
My roots are planted in Salem, Oregon, but for the last decade, we have made Colorado our home. I graduated the 23rd grade in 2012 and have been a snaggle tamer ever since. I love my job! The ability to participate in life-changing transformations daily is a real gift, and I genuinely love what I do. One of my secret life strategies is to surround myself with people better than me. If you met my wife, you would know what I mean, but it also extends to my staff, colleagues, and friends. It's a big deal to look forward to getting up in the morning and going to work. I can't wait to see you there!

Nicole is the most full-circle member of our staff as she was one of Dr. Garlock's first patients! Now she's one of the first voices you will hear when you call our office. Nicole is currently attending business school at CU Denver. As a Colorado native, she shares the Centennial State with her sister and prefers the summer activities to the winter activities. A former dancer, an avid reader, and a full-time student, in addition to a full-time employee, Nicole is a force to be reckoned with! We are grateful to have her on our team.

Dani recently relocated to Colorado with her husband, who is stationed here in the Air Force. With a bachelor's degree in Psychology and several years of experience working as a pediatric dental assistant, her main goal now is to "just be happy at work." We are more than happy to give her that opportunity! Dani's favorite part about her job is building lasting relationships with people, which makes her the perfect fit. She's the mom to one fur baby, Arlo, and we are pumped to have her on our team.

When Juliana was attending Cherokee Trail H.S., she remembered hearing students talk about how great Garlock Orthodontics was. She initially thought nursing would be her career path but changed her mind to pursue dental assisting. Before she knew it, she had graduated from dental assistant school and eventually made her way here to her dream locale! She loves orthodontics because, unlike its dental counterpart, people don't dread it. "It's fun coming to work," she said, which is music to our ears! Building relationships with people who visit on a more regular basis is what she enjoys the most. When she's not crushing it at work, she knows how to make the most out of Colorado living by snowboarding in the winter and paddleboarding in the summer. When you're in her chair, we promise she will take great care of you!

Shanee has nine years of experience in the field of orthodontics. She loves her job, especially as she witnesses the transformation from insecurity to the confidence that people make as they go through treatment. She also loves seeing kids who respect their parents for making the financial sacrifice it takes to help them achieve their best smile. After childhood vacations spent in Breckenridge, she fell in love with snowboarding and ultimately decided to trade in her Houston roots for the Colorado mountains. Now that she calls Denver home, she has plenty of time to keep those slopes busy! Any extra downtime is spent with her cat, Edin, who she adopted ten years ago. We are grateful to have Shanee on our team!

Morgan is a Colorado native who recently transferred from Mesa State to attend Metro. She's happy to be back in Denver studying communications and working for us! When she's not working our front desk, taking your photos, or hanging out with her friends, you can find this girl dominating on a volleyball court. She's a force on and off the court, and we love having her on our team! We are confident you will too.

Jessica traded in the sea for the mountains when she relocated here from Florida in 2020. We're glad she did because her infectious personality and eight years of experience are a great asset to our team! After skiing in Colorado last winter and an invitation from her sister to make a permanent move to the Rockies, Jessica agreed. She brought along her dog, a spoiled golden retriever named Sadie. She's excited to explore all Colorado has to offer, whether it's skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer. Fun fact: Jessica played Timon and Wendy at Disneyworld! Anyone who can dress like a meerkat for children deserves a spot with Garlock Orthodontics.

Miko is a full-on veteran in the world of dental assisting, and we are so glad to have her on our team! After 25 years in orthodontics, she loves forming relationships with her patients. It's a rewarding process to watch them gradually improve their smiles with each visit. Miko is an assistant with a heart as she spends hours of her free time volunteering for Meals on Wheels and Table Mountain Animal Shelter, where she adopted her foster cat, Kenji. She has survived more surgeries than anyone we know after surviving a near-fatal car accident as a teenager, and we are glad she is here!

"I didn't fix the gap in my teeth until I started working for an orthodontist, and the transformation in my confidence was unreal. Now I'm part of that process for other people, and after 16 years, that feeling of literally changing someone's life never gets old! When I'm not running my son to baseball or my daughter to cheer practice, you'll find me hanging out with my little grandson and his momma. One day I'm going to try out for The Voice and rock the music world, but in the meantime, I'm already living the dream. I look forward to seeing you in the office!"

Jen is a Colorado native who joined Garlock Ortho in 2019 as an additional Treatment/Obs Coordinator. She has worked in various capacities over the years, but a desire to work closer to home where she can still meet and interact with new people all the time made her a perfect fit for our office. One of Jen's hidden talents is what she refers to as her "dog nose," or her ability to sniff out smells and trouble. With triplet teenage boys, this is more of a superpower than a hidden talent! She's a great asset to our G.O. family.

Heather is a Colorado native who has been working for Garlock Ortho since 2017. Heather is somewhat a jack of all trades in the office, but for the most part, she is what we call our "Insurance Queen." She's been married for over 20 years to her husband, Eric, and she has two daughters, one of whom just got braces! She loves working in a positive, fun environment where she feels like part of one big family, but Heather especially relishes the relationships with the patients. Watching the transformation in people's smiles is one of the biggest perks of the job. When she's not busy working or hanging out with her family, you can find Heather volunteering at the animal sanctuary. What else would you expect from someone who owns a hedgehog? (Did I mention she loves snakes?) She is a vital part of our Garlock Ortho team.

Hello, my name is Ana. I'm a dental assistant and have been with Dr. Garlock since 2017. It has been amazing working with him and all the staff and all the great patient relationships I've built there. I've always loved seeing people smile, but not everyone smiles because they simply don't like the way their smile looks, so I've always wanted to help in building up that confidence. So, working in a fun environment that can also bring laughter and smiles to patients is an amazing feeling! In the words of Marilyn Monroe, "A smile is the best makeup any girl can wear."

I was raised in southern California, and even though I've lived in Colorado longer than anywhere else, the beach will always be home. I have a BS Degree from Brigham Young University and managed to raise two children without ever having CPS called. I'm the Marketing Director at Garlock Orthodontics, so when I see you at the office and ask to take your picture for the internet, I'm not a creeper; I'm just doing my job. I remember what a game-changer it was when I got my braces off, and it's incredibly rewarding to see others have that experience. Dr. Garlock and his assistants genuinely change lives, and it's a privilege to be part of it in some small way.

Erin's true joy is working with children and families, so her job as our Treatment Coordinator is the best place for her to be. Erin was born in Anaheim, California, but she left the home of Disneyland in search of greener pastures that eventually led her to Colorado. After spending a few years at an elementary school, Erin switched gears to work with kids in a different environment, and she hasn't looked back. She has been with Garlock Ortho since 2018 and continues to hold it all together while raising a teenage son and supporting another daughter in college. We are happy to have her on our team!
